Towing should not be a guessing game. Whether you are hauling a camper, a utility trailer, a boat or a bike rack, a level connection between your vehicle and the trailer is essential for safe braking, even tire wear and stable highway tracking. The TOW&HITCH Adjustable Trailer Hitch Mount is engineered to eliminate the gap between different vehicle heights and different trailer coupler heights, giving you a level tow every time.
Built from thick-gauge steel and welded with a reinforced triangular gusset, the frame stays stiff under load without the flex you feel from thin, single-sheet hitches. The entire unit is finished in a matte black powder coat that seals the steel against rain, road salt and wash-down chemicals — no need to repaint after a single wet season.
Adjustment is tool-light: simply pull the R-clip, slide the vertical arm to one of the six height holes, reinsert the hitch pin and you are back on the road. Because the vertical arm is bolted to the shank rather than permanently welded, the mount can be disassembled for compact storage in your truck bed or garage.
We ship it as a complete kit — the hitch body, the vertical arm, the hitch pin with R-clip, and Grade-8.8 bolts, lock nuts and washers are all in the box. No extra trip to the hardware store. Just unbox, bolt on, drop into your 2-inch receiver and tow.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q1. Will this hitch fit my truck / SUV?
This mount is designed for vehicles with a standard 2-inch (2" × 2") rear receiver, which covers most Class 3, Class 4 and Class 5 receiver-equipped pickups, full-size SUVs and vans.
Please measure the inside dimensions of your existing receiver before ordering.
Q2. How do I adjust the height?
Pull out the R-clip and the hitch pin, slide the vertical arm up or down to your desired hole among the six positions, then reinsert the pin and re-attach the R-clip. Always torque the arm-to-shank bolts to the spec in the manual after any adjustment.
Q3. What is the towing capacity?
The rated Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) and Tongue Weight (TW) are listed in the Specifications table. Always respect the LOWER of (a) this hitch rating, (b) your vehicle receiver rating, and (c) your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating. Never exceed the lowest of the three.
Q4. Is a trailer ball included?
No. This listing is for the adjustable hitch mount itself, plus the mounting hardware and hitch pin. A trailer ball and ball mount are sold separately and must be matched to your trailer coupler size.
Q5. Do I need to drill or weld to install it?
No. The mount drops directly into an existing 2-inch receiver and is secured with the included hitch pin. The vertical arm bolts to the shank with the included Grade-8.8 hardware. No drilling, welding or permanent modification is required.
Q6. Is the black coating rust-proof?
The hitch is finished in a black powder coat that resists rust, scratches and road salt under normal towing conditions. For long life, rinse off road salt after winter use and inspect the coating periodically; touch up any scratches that expose bare metal.
Q7. Can I use this for a bike rack or cargo carrier?
Yes, any standard 2-inch receiver-mounted accessory (ball mount, bike rack, cargo carrier, winch tray, etc.) can be used with this adjustable shank. Always confirm the accessory's own weight rating and tongue-weight limit.
Q8. What should I check before every trip?
Before each tow, verify that: (1) the hitch pin and R-clip are fully seated; (2) the arm-to-shank bolts are torqued to spec; (3) the trailer coupler is locked on the ball and safety chains are crossed and connected; (4) trailer brake and running lights are functional; and (5) the load is level and within the tongue-weight range.

DISCLAIMER & SAFETY WARNING
PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLATION AND USE.
Never exceed the lowest towing rating among: (a) this hitch mount, (b) your vehicle's receiver tube, and (c) your vehicle manufacturer's published towing capacity. Overloading is the leading cause of trailer sway, brake failure and loss of control.
This product is intended for towing loads within its rated capacity only. It must not be used as a recovery hook, a vehicle anchor, a lifting point or for any purpose other than a receiver-mounted trailer/accessory mount.
Installation and towing must comply with all local and national road regulations. The buyer / installer is responsible for correct installation, torque values, safety chains, breakaway cables, trailer brakes and lighting.
Always tow with the trailer level. An improperly adjusted drop/rise height creates excessive tongue weight on one axle and dangerous sway at speed.
Re-torque all bolts after the first 100 miles (160 km) and re-check at every stop on long trips. Never drive with a loose hitch pin or missing R-clip.
Trailer tires, bearings, brakes and lights are the responsibility of the trailer owner. We make no warranty beyond the physical hitch product itself.

TOW&HITCH and the seller are not liable for property damage, personal injury or death resulting from misuse, overloading, improper installation, or operation on public roads in violation of applicable laws. By purchasing this product, the buyer acknowledges these risks and agrees to install and use the hitch at their own responsibility.
